This spotted cutie is Waylon!<br/><br/>Waylon has now been with us at FDHS for a while, and we've gotten to know him much better. With our staff, he's a big giant baby and sweet as pie. Once he trusts you, he's affectionate, sweet, and loves nothing more than being a lovebug.<br/><br/>Waylon can be very cautious when meeting new people and will often bark or growl at first. Because of this, he's going to do best in a home with rescue dog experience or adopters who are patient and willing to put in the time to earn his trust and help build his confidence. At this time, we don't feel he would be a good fit for a home with children under 10.<br/><br/>He's shown a lot of curiosity about the other shelter dogs and seems interested in making friends. With proper introductions, we think he could do well in a home with other dogs and likely cats too. Waylon is a smart, young dog and very treat motivated, though he's still learning to take treats gently.<br/><br/>When he's not zooming around the yard and burning off energy, Waylon is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle. He comes from energetic working-dog heritage, so an active home that's committed to keeping both his brain and body busy will be key to his success. Waylon has been fully vetted and is available for immediate adoption.
