What is Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch’s adoption process?

The Humane Society at Lakewood Ranch is open to the public for Adoption Hours, Friday through Sunday, 11am to 4pm. No appointments taken. Walk ins only. Please note that these hours may be affected by holidays, so please check our website at www.hslwr.org for holiday closures. For more information on our adoption process, please see our Adoption FAQs at www.hslwr.org/adoption-faqs Please also note that a voice message or email inquiry is not considered an application for adoption. Adoption applications are available only in person, at our facility after meeting our adoptable pets. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. Our primary objective and mission is to find the best, forever home for our animals. The HSLWR is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), no-kill dog and cat shelter in Manatee County, FL.
