Watson's Story

Meet Watson — an approximately 8-month-old Chihuahua mix with the sweetest soul you could ever hope to meet.

Watson absolutely loves people and gets along wonderfully with other small or medium size dogs. He can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he becomes the most loyal little shadow. If you’re looking for a constant companion, cuddle buddy, or tiny best friend to follow you everywhere, Watson is your guy.

This handsome boy is still learning leash manners and house training, so he’ll need a patient family willing to continue helping him build confidence and routine. The good news? He’s smart, eager to please, and already making progress.

Watson’s story started with heartbreak. He and his presumed littermate were abandoned on a rural road in the middle of nowhere. When a kind Good Samaritan stopped, Watson came running for help. Despite what he’s been through, he’s remained gentle, loving, and full of trust.

Watson would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help him feel secure and continue building his confidence. He’s ready to leave his past behind and finally find the forever family he deserves.

If you think Watson may be the one for you, please go to our website at www.wagstorichesanimalrescue.org and fill out an application to adopt. Please be sure to include a vet reference as regular vet care is important to us for the health of all our adopted dogs. With approval and a $295 adoption donation, he will be ready to accompany you on all of life’s many adventures! Watson is neutered, microchipped, fecal tested clean of internal parasites and up to date on all his vaccinations.
