Wasabi's Story
Remember the little dog who was abandoned at Bayview Park with all of his belongings left behind?
Meet Wasabi.
At just 2 years old, this adorable Chihuahua mix has already experienced more uncertainty than any dog should. Left behind with no explanation, Wasabi found himself wondering where his family went. Thankfully, those days are behind him, and now he's ready to find the forever home he truly deserves.
Wasabi is a tiny little guy with a big personality. His foster mom says he looks like a teacup black Lab, complete with the cutest white socks on his front paws. He's light, lean, and absolutely loves being close to his people.
His potty training is coming along beautifully, and he's now letting his foster know when he needs to go outside. He does well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, though he admits he'd prefer to be first in line when it's time for cuddles. He can be a bit jealous of sharing lap privileges, but can you really blame him?
Wasabi is the definition of a companion dog. Whether you're heading out for errands, taking a walk, or settling in for a movie night, he's happiest right by your side. He walks wonderfully on a leash, fits comfortably in a carry bag, and is ready to accompany you on all of life's adventures.
He also has a hidden talent: singing. Wasabi regularly serenades his foster family when dinner is being prepared, when a door closes between them, or whenever he feels the moment calls for a song.
He has done well around cats, though he may give chase if they run. Once they stand their ground, however, he quickly remembers who's really in charge.
Wasabi's perfect home is one where he can be a constant companion, loyal shadow, professional lap warmer, and occasional vocalist. After being left behind once, we're hoping the next family he chooses will be his forever family.
If you're looking for a sweet, portable, affectionate best friend, Wasabi may be exactly who you've been waiting for.
Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041

We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond.

Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please note all animals in the home must be altered, up to date on vaccines, and be on heartworm prevention. We understand there are some special cases and will take those into consideration.
