Meet Walter, a 3-year-old Hound mix who is ready to sniff his way to your heart. Walter is a large dog who weighs 75 lbs. and tends to pull on leash. Walter is like most hound dogs, historically a working breed that requires a lot of mental and physical stimulation. Walter loves being outside and going on walks. When out for walks, as expected, he typically has his nose to the ground, looking for new scents. He has benefited greatly from positive reinforcement training, and we recommend continuing that in his home. If you have children, Walter would do best with ages 12 and up. We do believe Walter could live well with other dogs, but we ask that he only goes to a home with larger dogs and that any other dogs in the home come in for a meet & greet before adoption. He has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, started on vaccines and preventative care.
