Walter

This sweet 13 week old puppy showed up at someone's home three weeks ago. After searching for an owner and being unable to locate one, they reached out for help so Walter could be safe and cared for. Walter is now settled into his foster home and doing wonderfully. He's making great progress with potty training and is already sleeping through the night in his kennel like a champ! He absolutely loves his canine foster siblings and is learning puppy manners quickly. He will need another large dog in his forever home that likes to play. He will still jump up on people out of excitement at times, so if there are children in the home they should be 10 years of age or older. Walter is smart, affectionate and a big goofball! We believe Walter is a German Shepherd mix, and at just 13 weeks old, he's already a big boy weighing 40 pounds! Due to his breed, no apartments please. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.

Rescue Row is a 50
