Walnut's Story

Hi, I’m Walnut! I’m a smart, laid-back 5-year-old Mountain Cur with a beautiful brindle coat. I know “sit” and “paw,” and I enjoy lounging with my toys, rolling in the grass, and soaking up the sunshine.

I tested positive for heartworms, but 100% of my treatment is covered by the shelter’s medical fund. The shelter team will guide my adopter through the process, and I’ll need a calm home with crate rest and limited activity while I recover.

I also need to be neutered before adoption. If you’re looking for a gentle and easygoing companion, come meet me!
