Wally's Story

WALLY: BIG EARS, BIG BRAINS, ZERO RECEPTION

4 months Male 22 lb Blue Australian Cattle Dog

Wally got his name because he was abandoned at Walmart in Arkansas as a young puppy. Wally is completely deaf, but you’d never know it from the way he takes on the world. We suspect his giant, gorgeous ears might have had something to do with it. They’re purely decorative. Trust us, we checked.

He takes his Cattle Dog instincts seriously. While the other puppies play, Wally is busy developing strategies, herding the puppies and resident dogs, and managing the household.

Wally is ridiculously smart. Using visual cues, he has already learned come, sit, down, and paw. He loves enrichment and needs a family ready to keep his brilliant brain busy.

Underneath all that beauty and ambition is a total sweetheart. He loves kisses, being scooped up, and spending time with kids as young as 4. He has not shown herding behavior toward children. He’s also good in the car, crate, and on a leash!

Wally’s forever home must include:

- Another playful dog to help alert him when it’s time to go outside or eat
- A fenced private yard for safe exercise and play
- Commitment to training, enrichment, and physical activity
- Breed experience preferred

Wally came to us with no potty training experience, but after a crash course in foster care, he’s already about 90% potty trained, with occasional accidents decreasing every day!

Wally may be a handful, but he’s an incredibly rewarding puppy. He doesn’t need to hear the world to become an amazing part of yours.

Fostered in Williamstown, NJ

APPLY TO ADOPT:
https://phillyrescueangels.org/become-a-rescue-angel

Philly Rescue Angels Kennel License #18024
PO Box 5299, PA 19064
