Wally 's Story
Meet Wally, an 8-month-old, 30-pound herding mix with the color of a Border Collie, the fluff of an Aussie, and the irresistibly charming low-rider build of a Corgi. A mix of Cowboy Corgi, Border Collie, and Australian Shepherd, Wally is packed with personality, athleticism, and all the traits that make herding breeds so special.

Wally came from a rural farm alongside his litter of five, with athletic, working parents behind him. That background shows in all the best ways. He is playful, driven, smart, and full of potential for someone looking for a dog who could thrive in sports, training, or another active job. He has some of the strongest herding instincts of his siblings and absolutely loves toys, making him an especially fun and promising prospect for an active home.

Even with all that energy and talent, Wally is also the biggest cuddle seeker of the bunch. He is the kind of dog who will happily launch himself into your lap for pets, wagging his tail a hundred times a minute and soaking up all the affection he can get. He loves hugs, forms very close bonds, and has the kind of loyal, people-focused nature that makes him deeply rewarding to love.

Wally can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly, faster than his siblings, and once he does, his outgoing and affectionate personality shines right through. He has done great for the groomer and the vet, which says a lot about his temperament and his ability to trust and adapt. He also really enjoys other dogs and loves wrestling, chase games, and toy play with canine friends.

At under 20 inches tall, Wally is an amazing size for someone wanting a sporty, high-energy herding dog in a more compact package. Like his siblings Eleanor, Dill Pickle, Rocky, and Rigby, he has excellent potential for dog sports while still being a fun, loving companion. He will do best in an active home that can give him both the physical exercise and mental stimulation he craves. In the right environment, Wally is going to be an incredibly fun and devoted dog.

Medical Information:
• Neutered
• Up to date on vaccinations
• Heartworm tested (negative)
• Fecal tested (negative)
• On heartworm and flea preventative

Adoption Fee: $650
This fee includes all veterinary care, grooming, and supplies, and helps support our ongoing rescue efforts for other dogs in need. As a small nonprofit, Barkin Dogs Rescue relies on adoption fees to continue providing care and taking in dogs who need us most.

Interested in adopting Wally?
Please contact his foster at:
816.898.5646
Barkindogs1@aol.com
