WALLACE's Story

WALLACE is a 3 1/2 year old mixed breed originally taken in as a lost dog on 10/6/23. He's a nice dog who walks well on lead and is house broken. Wallace is a no frills guy who holds his cards close to his chest. He's dignified, distinguished and serious. Wallace is very mannerly, but when necessary, he knows digging through trash, while inelegant, is nothing but practical for survival reasons as when he was originally found. A variety of treats failed to motivate Wallace to sit, but he was able to be contained using beef jerky. If dogs were comics, Wallace would surely favor sarcasms and have the driest of witticisms. In fact, other than walking on all fours and not speaking, Wallace is sort of like Brian from Family Guy. It took a little time for him to settle in, but now that he has, Wallace's demeanor has lightened and it's been great to watch him enjoy playing with the other dogs. His adoption fee is $150. He's neutered, current on vaccinations, wormed, treated monthly with heart worm and flea preventive and microchipped. Adopted on 11/25/23, Wallace was returned on 6/8/24 because his owners are moving to a rental that doesn't allow dogs. They stated: he doesn't get along well with cats; his best qualities are that he's a love bug and blanket hog, knows sit, stay, come and paw, but needs work on down, heel and roll over. Wallace also loves rope toys and stuffed animals, but he will decimate the latter. Adopted on 8/12/24, he was returned on 5/2/25. Turns out little kids are too unrefined for his liking.
