Wallaby's Story

Meet Wallaby! This sweet guy is approximately 4 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

When Wallaby first arrived at the shelter as a stray, it was a big adjustment for him and he was quite scared. After a couple of days, he warmed to staff and became the biggest love-- enjoying lots of snuggles and doing 'zoomies' around his outdoor kennel. He has quickly become a staff favorite because of his mellow and affectionate personality. He can still be nervous with new experiences and people, and will need someone who can confidently encourage him to try new things and let him know that everything is okay. He now loves to chase balls in our side yard, and has even started feeling a bit more confident on his walks with volunteers!

Wallaby came into the shelter as a stray, so we do not know how he does with other dogs, cats, or other animals. If you have another dog in the household, we require a dog introduction to be done here at the shelter. We also offer a seven-day foster period to ensure a good fit for everyone.

If you are interested in Wallaby, please feel free to stop by during our open hours! We are open from 2pm-6pm Monday-Saturday. Our dog kennels close at 5pm and adoptions stop at 5:30pm.
