Walker's Story
Please read the entire description before applying.

Meet Walker. He weighs just 8 lbs at 3 1/2 months old. He is a Chihuahua, Dachshund, and Jack Russell mix who was surrendered to a shelter by a breeder after an unexpected litter. His estimated adult weight is under 25 lbs.

We originally took in eight puppies from this litter, and all of their littermates have already been adopted.

Walker loves being held and adored. He is being raised in a caring foster home where he receives daily socialization and plenty of human interaction. Because of the cold weather, he is also trained to use a litter box, which can make those first few days at home a little easier.

Adoption Requirements:

A fenced‑in backyard suitable for a small dog (no invisible fences). If your condo or HOA does not allow fencing, we may consider your application on a case‑by‑case basis.
An adult who is home during the day and able to provide the time, supervision, and companionship a puppy needs.”
No crating for puppies. Adopters must use a puppy playpen, which provides a safe, contained space with room to move and reduces stress. We will share recommended options once your application is approved.
Children in the home must be 7 years or older. Younger children may be considered if they have grown up with a dog in the household.
Homes with no dogs or a small dog will be considered (no multi‑dog households).
All puppies are vet‑checked, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and have received heartworm and flea preventatives and are spayed/neutered.

Adoption Fee is $350. We require a $50 deposit to place a hold on a puppy once your application is approved. This helps prevent no‑shows and last‑minute cancellations, since preparing a puppy for an adoption appointment requires coordination with our foster homes. Your deposit is fully refundable if you attend your scheduled appointment, meet the puppy, and decide not to adopt. This policy ensures fairness to all approved adopters and helps us manage our time and foster resources responsibly.

To adopt, please complete an online application on our website by clicking the "Adopt" button under the puppy's photo. www.indianasaveadog.com.

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US THROUGH PETFINDER.
