WALKER $425's Story
Walker is a 3-month-old, 22-pound neutered male Great Pyrenees mix puppy with the perfect blend of playful energy and sweet affection. Like any young pup, he’s got that classic curious streak—especially when he’s feeling a little frustrated, which can lead to some chewing—so he’ll do best with plenty of appropriate toys and guidance. But don’t worry, he makes up for it with his favorite job: being your personal cuddle buddy. Walker loves to snuggle and will happily give hugs to his people.

He gets along great with other dogs and has done well with small breeds, currently living peacefully with two chihuahua mixes. Walker is making solid progress with potty training and does best on a consistent schedule—he’s especially good about going right away in the morning. He’s also treat-motivated, which will make continued training a fun and rewarding experience for both of you.

Crate training is still a work in progress. He may bark for the first 10–20 minutes when settling in, but he’s learning to self-soothe and typically calms down and falls asleep. With a little patience and routine, he’ll continue to build confidence.

Walker is a loving, playful pup who’s looking for a home ready to guide him through puppyhood and soak up all the affection he has to give. If you’re looking for a loyal snuggler with a silly side, Walker might just be your guy.

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- (SEE PINNED POST) and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$425+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$375+tax for ages 4-7
$275+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection.
