Waldo's Story

Look at those darling little ears! Waldo is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 9 pounds.

Meet Waldo, a young pup who has had a rough start in life but is now ready to find his forever home filled with love and care. Oh, sweet Waldo, we are so sad someone treated you badly, but despite his past, he is so connecting and only wants to be close to you. He came to the rescue so neglected and matted, one of the worst we have seen (as you can see from his pictures). We took him right to one of our wonderful vets where he had to be sedated and shaved. Now he is looking fabulous and must feel so much better. It may take him just a minute to trust, but who can blame him, but once he does, he likes to give you gentle kisses. Waldo also likes putting his paws on your knees for some much-needed pets, it is really cute. He might be a little uncomfortable with some handling due to his past experiences, but with patience and understanding, he will thrive. Waldo enjoys nothing more than curling up in your lap feeling safe and loved, and he can't wait to find a family to do this with. He will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old. Waldo is a truly special dog who deserves to be loved and cared for like he has always deserved.

If you are interested in Waldo and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
