Wade’s FAQs

What is Baldwin County Animal Control’s adoption process?

Please submit an application if you're interested in adopting one of the shelter's available animals; this can be done at the shelter OR online via the link provided below. We do suggest applying online if possible. Once your application has been approved, we will set an appointment at your convenience for you to meet/adopt the pet you are interested in. The shelter is also open to the public Monday through Friday, between 1-5pm, for walk-through meet and greets. But please understand that you will NOT be able to take home a new pet without having both an approved application and an adoption appointment. The adoption fee for a dog is $150 and the fee for a cat is $100. This includes the pet's spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, distemper booster, deworming for intestinal parasites and flea treatment. If you have any questions, please reach out at friendsofbcacga@gmail.com!
