Vito's Story
Vito is a 1-year-old male Mastiff mix with a story that will tug at your heart. Found wandering a rural area in Southern California, Vito was heartbreakingly emaciated—every rib clearly visible. Locals offered what help they could, feeding him when possible, but no one was able to take him in. That is, until a compassionate couple earned his trust and secured him, giving him the first safe place he’d known in a long time.

After being seen by a vet and with a heartfelt plea for help from the staff, Vito was rescued and made his way to Nevada, where he’s now being fostered by another incredible pair of humans. Since then, this sweet boy has begun to flourish.

Vito is house trained, crate trained, and is receiving basic training with his foster family—he’s a smart pup and doing very well! While he may be shy at first, once you’ve earned his trust, prepare yourself for endless love, tail wags, and his signature zoomies. He’s also dog-friendly with larger dogs and enjoys their company.

However, due to his size (already 100 lbs!) and possible prey drive or curiosity, a home **without cats or small animals** is best. And because he’s still a big, bouncy puppy, we recommend a home **without children under 10**.

Vito will thrive with continued structure, consistency, and training to help him become the best version of himself. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and can provide a stable, dog-savvy home, Vito might just be the perfect fit.

Apply to meet Vito today and give this gentle soul the forever home he deserves.
