Violet's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Violet is an approximately 6 year old spayed female basset who it would seem was mostly an outside dog for much of her life. In the beginning, in her foster to adopt home, she was timid when she was in the house. Those days are behind her now and she is happily settled in with her new parents, enjoying being with them including sleeping all night in their bed. She has a fenced acre of property to explore and she is enjoying every inch of it. It was thought that Violet had had her vocal cords cut because she never barked, only squeaked, during her first several weeks in foster care. She recently starting barking and has quite a 'vocabulary'! She has learned to play with toys and plays catch and chase with a dog who visits the home often. The foster to adopt parents have given her the name of Bae 2, named in honor of their previous GGBR foster dog that they adopted, Bae.
