Violet's Story
Violet is a playful, affectionate puppy who was found abandoned with her litter in Borger, Texas. She is currently fostered in the Amarillo, Texas area. She is approximately six months old, born around July 25, 2025, and weighs about 40 pounds. She appears to be a large breed mix, possibly including Labrador Retriever, Shar Pei, Mastiff, or bully-type breeds.

Violet loves to play, especially with her siblings, and enjoys toys and attention. Her energy level is moderate to low, making her a nice balance of playful and calm. She does well with other dogs and kids, though older children are recommended due to her size. She has not been exposed to cats. Violet is very trainable with treats and is not a barker.

Violet is still a puppy who needs guidance. She will require continued house training, crate training, and help learning general house manners. She has begun leash training and has been in a crate a few times, but she will benefit from a structured home environment and consistent training. She is not suited to being an outdoor-only dog.

Violet is available through a foster-to-adopt program. Approved families will foster her while beginning basic training. A generous donor has waived the adoption fee and is providing $250 after the first week and another $250 after the second week to help offset training and care costs. A rescue team member will check in weekly during this process.

Adoption application (copy and paste into your browser)
https://airtable.com/appklteyg5w2e0fmu/shrY8RxQc1KxQYCuv
