Violet's Story
If you’re looking for an only dog* with a sweet personality and energy to spare, Violet might be just the girl for you!

Violet was picked up in September 2023 on an interstate on-ramp in Louisiana. She was early in her first trimester of pregnancy and malnourished.

She gave birth to 6 healthy puppies in November 2023. Once they were old enough, the puppies were adopted out to new families. Violet has since been spayed and is up to date on shots.

Violet is a happy go lucky girl who is looking for her special someone!
She is high energy and friendly to people, though she can be very timid at first. She loves back scratches, belly rubs, and will do anything for a treat! She is very fast and could probably do well at agility with proper training. She enjoys going for walks, but can be a runner if she gets loose. She also loves playing with toys of all shapes and sizes. She has even been known to play with a rock a time or two.

She can also be a jumper when excited so she will need someone who can consistently work with her on that.
She likes kids, but can be wild around them (because of the jumping).

Violet is crate trained, and does well in the house (would not call her completely house trained, but wouldn't take much work to get there)!

**Violet's negative traits are that she is dog reactive**
She would do best in an only dog home; however, she and Steve (male; dog reactive as well) are good buddies and could be adopted together.
No cats either.

Violet was heartworm positive when we picked her up, but she has since finished her treatment, and now just needs yearly preventative!

Transport can be arranged for a suitable adopter!

*Could be adopted with Steve

**Special Needs: Dog Reactive
