Violet's Story

Violet was saved from South Los Angeles Animal Shelter in California. She landed there when she was dumped after having a litter of puppies. She looked as though she should have still been nursing her puppies when she arrived to the shelter. We knew we had to get her out of there!

Violet is now being fostered in Boulder, Colorado. She is a very affectionate and smart girl. She is a little shy at first but is then forever loyal to her humans. She is so happy to greet her foster every time she gets home! She's very good but is learning to not to jump from excitement. She is such a quick learner, extremely trainable, food motivated and eager to please. She is great with other dogs and puppies. She is a pretty calm girl and she would love to just lay down right next to you wherever her person is. She is pretty good on the leash, too. So far no leash reactivity.

She loves her crate and just goes in on her own to relax, she's not destructive at all so far. She has a big nice cozy bed that a lot of dogs would have torn up but she really appreciates it. I think she would do well with kids of all ages, but we will test this out prior to guaranteeing that.
