Violet's Story

Adoption donation $599
Age 1 year
Weight 70 lbs

Violet is a darling, gentle, and loving girl who was found in a ditch in a rural part of southern Mississippiwith her brother and sister just hours before a
major flood swept through the area. Fortunately, Wags stepped in just in time. Violet and her sister Rose and brother Gunner were taken into the rescue where they got the care they desperately needed. They were spayed and neutered, vaccinated and also have been microchipped, now they are all ready for loving families of their own.
Violet just loves to play, she spends her day running and romping with the other dogs at the rescue. She loves to be with her Foster Mom, she is her shadow. She is an easy-going friendly family dog with the best ears ever!
A little about Wags and adoption fees: The woman who runs Wags takes care of almost 200 dogs completely on her own, she finds stray dogs constantly and find it impossible to turn them away.
Adoption fees are the only source of funding for Wags and help pay for the vaccines, microchip spay/neuter and the transport from Mississippi for the lucky dogs who get posted for adoption and fine loving homes. What little is left after those expenses helps pay for food and vet care for all the other dogs and of course, the multitude of other expenses that come from running a rescue.
Almost all of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. Sometimes were able to bring up dogs into a foster home in the northeast, we always need foster homes!

For more information on adopting any of our Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com
