Vinnie's Story

I’m Vinnie – CEO of Vacuum Hater CLub
I’m a three-year-old low-rider exotic bully, built solid and close to the ground. I’m not loud or flashy—I’m the kind of guy who watches first, settles in, and keeps things steady. I’ve transitioned into rescue life incredibly well, and that says a lot about who I am.
My Daily Vibe
I’m a very good boy. I haven’t had a single accident since coming into foster care. I sleep through the night, go to bed without issue, and handle routine like a pro. I’m not big on playing or causing chaos. I get along well with other dogs and mostly mind my own business. I love hopping up on the couch and going straight to sleep—it’s kind of my thing.
I absolutely love being outside. When the weather’s nice and the back door is open, I’ll spend most of my day out there doing my thing. Sometimes I lay in the sun, sometimes I just hang out and exist. My foster has to check on me because I’m so content out there. If the door isn’t open, I’ll sit patiently by it until you let me out. No fuss, no drama—just waiting.
Food, Treats & the Good Stuff
I eat really well and I love my treats. Morning Greek yogurt with blueberries? That’s top-tier in my book. I appreciate the good things in life and don’t take them for granted.
A Few Things You Should Know About Me
I get very excited when loud electronic things turn on—vacuums, blow dryers, even the Insta Pot. I take those noises personally. I’ve gone after another dog a couple of times when those sounds were happening, but I do correct pretty well. My foster keeps us separated during noisy moments now, and that works great. I will bark while the noise is happening, but once it’s over, I settle back down.
I’m still figuring out men. There’s one guy—Damien—who I haven’t trusted yet. I charged him once when he surprised me in the backyard, and again later when he tried to pet me. I let him at first and then changed my mind. I’ve been friendly with most other people, so this seems situational, but it tells you I need slow introductions, space, and time to decide someone is safe. Once I trust you, I’m solid.
My Rescue Story
I was saved from an LA shelter where I was sitting on the euthanasia list with no interest and no time left. Freedom Frenchie Rescue wanted me, but being in Arizona and not partnered with that shelter made things complicated. Time was running out fast. Then a family stepped up and adopted me just to save my life. I was super skinny and severely malnourished when they got me, and because of their care, commitment, and love, I’ve gained about 7–8 pounds and finally look and feel like myself again. They made sure I was medically cared for, safe, and loved—even knowing they weren’t meant to be my forever.
Later, a friend of the rescue asked if Freedom Frenchie could take me in, and now here I am. Mo met in San Diego to get me and I had a backpack full of separated meals, toys, treats, medications, and my favorite blanket. That kind of love sticks with a dog. It also stuck with Mo she said “there are good people, cut from the same cloth Vinnie” Funny how life works—rescue tried to get me in at the end of October and couldn’t, and now I’m here, safe, steady, and hanging out with a bully-experienced foster. I want it said clearly: I’m alive because someone chose me when no one else did.
The Home I’m Looking For
I’m looking for a calm, structured home with someone who understands that trust doesn’t happen overnight and that rescues don’t come with instant expectations. I do best with slow introductions, especially with men, and a human who respects my space while showing up consistently. A yard where I can hang out, sunbathe, and quietly enjoy my time would make me very happy. I’m not here for chaos or pressure—I’m here for stability, patience, and a home that understands who I am.
Final Word from Me
I’m not a puppy. I’m not a clown. I’m a solid, loyal, low-key guy who’s still learning what real safety feels like. Don’t rush me. Don’t expect perfection. If you give me patience, respect my boundaries, and let me grow into myself, I’ll meet you there—steady and loyal the whole way.
If that sounds like your kind of dog,
I might just be your guy.

Love,
Vinnie

This guy is vaccinated, spay and microchipped, he is being fostered in Mesa, AZ. His adoption donation fee is $1100.00 and you can apply for him at freedomfrenchierescue.org
