Meet Vincent aka Vinny Vin Vin

Schools Out Adoption Event 5/20/22 to 5/28/22. Adoptions are half off!

Meet Vincent. Better known as Vinny or you can call me by nickname "Vin Vin."

Hi, I am Vinny. I came through our vet clinic from the local animal services. They found me wandering down a street with many injuries to my body and especially to my head. This is why my one ear looks a bit odd shaped. The veterinarian staff got me all cleaned up and stitched up. I spent some time recovering and healing up.

The vets estimated my birthdate around 12/22/2014. I am at that good age. Not a puppy, settled into adulthood, but not thinking about my golden years. I have lots of pep in my step.

Talking about pep in my step, boy I love to run around the play yard doing zoomies. It is even better if I have one of my yard friends chase me. After a few laps around the yard and a drink at the watering hole, I am ready for a sit down in the shade or under the jungle gym. If it is a nice sunny day, I roll about in the grass. Then I get my second wind for the next run about the yard.

My human friends that take care of me say that I am a sensitive guy. I guess it is because I look at them like I did something wrong. Well maybe I did? I did take all the stuffing out of the toy they gave me and tore that tennis ball into tiny pieces. But aren't what you are supposed to do to toys?
I was a bit naughty when I tried to grab the clinic cat when he got too close. They say due to this that I can't go to a home with cats or small furries.

Speaking of going home. I really want to find my forever home. I tried, but the dog already in the home wouldn't let me stay. It made me very sad that the other dog wouldn't share their humans and home with me. Due to this, it would be best if I am the only dog in the home.

I like older calm, kids and adults. Little kids scare me. I don't understand their loud talking and all that energy. Plus I don't want to share my toys or food with little kids. I also may accidentally knock them over while playing.
It may be best if my humans have had a big dog before. This way, they can help me navigate the big world out there and safely guide me through any new experiences.

The shelter say that I am a clean guy. I keep my run clean. I would need a house training refresher in my new home. I would do great in a home, apartment or condo living. I would love a yard, but a walk is also good. If I can talk you into a car ride with a detour through a drive through for a snack, that would be fine with me. I like snacks. I am very treat motivated and will work for treats.

I am a big guy with lots of personality looking for a family who is willing to give this doggie a chance. Will you be my new family?
If you think so, please fill out one of the adoption surveys to see if I am the right fit.
