Villanova's Story
Meet Villanova, a three-year-old Poodle mix rescued from a puppy mill. This sweet and gentle girl is still adjusting to her new life and learning to trust people as she discovers that the world can be so much kinder than what she’s known. She is very shy when first meeting people, it will take some time for her to fully trust and be at ease around them. Villanova has a calm demeanor but lights up around other dogs, allowing her lovely personality to shine. She’s searching for a patient forever home to guide her as she explores life beyond the mill. Villanova will need help mastering the basics every dog should know.
We’ve lifted the fenced-in yard requirement for Villanova. She’s been working with staff and walks moderately well on a leash, gaining a lot of confidence and improving her recall. While she’s made great progress, it’s still important for potential adopters to be ready to continue working with her on leash skills and recall.
With time, patience, and lots of love, this beautiful pup has the potential to thrive. Could you be the one Villanova is looking for to start this next and best chapter in her life? Come meet her!

Interested in adopting?
