I am 4 years old and weigh 24 pounds. I need a new home because I am a puppy mill survivor. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO.<br/> <br/>I love exploring and being near my people. I like to stand close to your legs so you can easily reach down and pet me and I will cover your hand in kisses when you do. I also have a small fixation with my foster dad's shoes—can't explain that one. My feet do a tap tap tap when you look my way, and I wag my little corky tail. A lot of sounds and noises are new to me as I've lived most of my life in a cage so sometimes I cock my head, and sometimes I will bark to alert you if I think it's something you should know about.<br/><br/>I have been told that I'm a good mother, but my days of having puppies are over. I also have a unique coat that looks a little like a calico leopard, and I have one light blue eye as I am a Red Merle. <br/><br/>I get along with the three Bostons in my foster home, and am particularly fond of playing chase with the male Boston. I don't play too much with toys just yet, but I do like to chew them.<br/><br/>I would rather not be kept out of the loop. If you are in another room, I want to be there too. I need a little love, a little affection (okay a LOT of affection), and a warm bed and I'll be happy. And I'll do my best to make you happy too! p.s. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
