Victor's Story

How this pet arrived: Victor was brought in by a community member on January 6, 2026.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Victor, a gentle soul who just needed a little time and a soft place to land to truly shine. Found as a stray, he can be fearful at first, but we've seen his true personality has come through in a foster home - calm, low-maintenance, and quietly charming. Victor thrives on routine and the simple comforts of a peaceful environment, preferring a small, predictable world with short outings where he feels safe and secure. He's both crate trained (his crate is his happy place!) and potty trained with a consistent schedule. He has shown he's quite the socialite with other calm pups, doing very well on social walks with dogs while in our care! He is looking for a home with older kids (8+) and is looking to meet the whole family before going home. While he's an independent guy, he enjoys being near his people and, once he trusts you, might even grace you with a wagging tail and a belly rub request. Victor is the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a mellow, easygoing friend with a sweet, subtle affection. Ask about adopting today! At SDHS:Victor has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!Shy/Fearful Dog: Victor requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 38.8lbs Age: 3yrs 4mths 1wks Animal has been Neutered
