Meet Venus (10yrs., female)<br/><br/>After her owner went through a difficult divorce, Venus bounced from friend to friend while her owner tried to find a place. With each move, it became clearer that she might never find a home where they could live together again. When the last friend’s husband became ill, she was left with only two heartbreaking options: the shelter… or rescue placement.<br/><br/>Thanks to a compassionate volunteer from another rescue reaching out — and one open spot on our end — we knew we had to step in<br/><br/>Venus is playful, gentle, friendly, and (aside from grooming!) wonderfully low-maintenance. <br/><br/>To adopt one of our animals, the first step is filling out an adoption application at www.tapsusa.org, https://tapsusa.org/why-adopt/application/<br/><br/>Please make sure you get a confirmation that your application has been submitted.<br/><br/>If you are a match for one of our pets, we will reach out to you to schedule a meet and greet. Photos of your home, letters of reference are not acceptable which is why we only adopt locally. Only in very rare circumstances do we adopt out of area. Examples of this would be finding the perfect home for a senior animal or one that has other special needs that we have not been able to place locally for an extended period of time.<br/><br/>Thank you for wanting to adopt.
