Velma's Story

Meet Velma! Velma is a fun-loving and silly potato. She is the life of the party and has never met a stranger. She loves to go for rides in the car and would happily accompany you on any adventure. While she may not look lap-sized, she will happily climb into your lap for scritches and kisses. Too tired at the end of the day to remove your makeup? Velma will take care of that for you in exchange for a warm bed and a full belly. Like most dogs, Velma does love to chase small animals and would do best in a home with no kitties or small dogs. However, this also means she does very silly behaviors like pull down tree branches for full inspections. Velma prefers her dog companions to be calm and just co-exist with her, but would also be just fine as an only dog if that’s what you’re looking for. She is social with other dogs when out on the town!

Sounds like a good fit? Come visit me and any of my available friends at Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control during their open hours of 12-4pm daily, with extended hours of 12-6pm on Thursdays. Adoptions are first come first serve, in-person only with an approved application that you can fill out during your visit. During your visit, adoption counselors will go over my medical history and behavior notes, then you get to hang out with me. I hope to see you soon!
