Velma's Story

Meet Velma!

Velma is a female, pitty/shar-pei mix, born February 2024, and came to B&B from a local shelter! Oh sweet, Velma girl! She is so loving, indifferent about toys, bones and treats, she loves when you sit on the ground with her to give her pets and letting her sit in your lap! She is good on her leash, will sit/lay down to even put her leash on! She is a little nervous around other dogs right now and even a little nervous of the stairs in her foster home! She is potty trained and just the sweetest girl.

Velma is being fostered in Richmond, VA. She is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate vaccinations and cost of care while in foster. To apply to adopt Velma, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.

Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
