(You may even find yourself explaining to strangers why your dog is named after one.)<br/><br/>Around the rescue, he's better known as Rudi, a sweet, lovable Lab mix with giant puppy paws, an even bigger heart, and just enough mischief to keep life entertaining.<br/><br/>Rudis journey started on a heartbreaking note. He and his siblings were surrendered after there were serious concerns they could be harmed if they stayed where they were. Thankfully, they were brought to safety before that could happen, and now this happy-go-lucky boy is focused on what puppies do best, living life to the fullest.<br/><br/>And boy, does he ever.<br/><br/>Rudi is 100% puppy.<br/><br/>If there's wrestling to be done, he's ready.<br/><br/>If there's a toy to squeak, chew, or proudly parade around the house, he's on it.<br/><br/>If someone accidentally drops an ice cube? Congratulations, you've just started the championship game of Ice Cube Hockey, and Rudi is going for the MVP title.<br/><br/>Puzzle toys? Love them.<br/><br/>Antlers? Absolutely.<br/><br/>Running around with his siblings? His favorite pastime.<br/><br/>After all that excitement, though, Rudi transforms into the sweetest cuddle buddy around. Beneath all that all boy energy is a gentle soul who simply wants to love and be loved.<br/><br/>He's fantastic with the resident large dogs in his foster home, adores every person he meets, and approaches life with the kind of joyful optimism that only puppies seem to possess.<br/><br/>Like any growing youngster, Rudi is still learning the ropes. He's crate trained, doing well with pee pads, and just beginning to master all those important puppy manners. He's eager to learn, incredibly smart, and ready for a family willing to help him become the amazing adult dog he's destined to be.<br/><br/>When fully grown, Rudi is expected to be around 50-60 pounds, making him the perfect size for hiking trails, backyard games of fetch, weekend adventures, and sprawling across your couch as if he pays the mortgage.<br/><br/>Rudi isn't looking for perfection.<br/><br/>He's looking for someone who will laugh at his goofy antics, cheer him on as he learns, forgive the occasional puppy mistake, and love him through every stage of life.<br/><br/>Because while his name might be unusual...<br/><br/>The love he has to give is something everyone understands.<br/><br/>If your home has room for one goofy grin, four oversized paws, and a lifetime of unconditional love, Rudi is ready to make himself right at home.<br/><br/>Before emailing- please read:<br/>- Yes, this dog is available for adoption<br/>- Apply at c2cnd.org<br/>- The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care.<br/>- Local adopters only.
