Veggie's Story

Veggie is such a sweet, silly, and fun boy! He is around 55lbs of pure love and is likely anywhere from 1-2 years old. He is a friendly boy and is great with other dogs. He absolutely loves toys, lounging around, and play time. Veggie is gentle, enjoys being scratched and petted, and likes to play with toys both alone, or with you. Veggie was found stray and landed in a high kill shelter and we pulled this sweet boy off the euthanisia list!
Veggies bio:
Looking for a dog who greets you like youve been gone for 400 years, then immediately passes out on your feet like nothing happened? Look no further.
Veggie is a compact, muscle-with-a-heart-of-gold who has somehow figured out that humans are the best thing that ever happened to him and he will absolutely tell you this with his entire body the moment he sees you.
The Highlights Reel:
On leash, Veggie is basically a professional. Seriously. He walks so nicely youll feel like the two of you trained for this together.
Crate trained which means he has a bedroom and he respects it. Personal space king.
Genuinely, concerningly smart. Veggie figured out his fosters dog door in under an hour. One hour. He is also highly treat-motivated, which means training him should be a breeze as long as you remember whos really running the show.
Polite with other dogs, in that reserved, I dont know you yet but Im willing to find out kind of way. Hes not rude hes just a slow-burn friend. Worth the wait.
Water curious. We have video evidence of Veggie voluntarily entering a pool. He did not fully commit but he DID investigate, and that kind of intellectual curiosity deserves a home.
Medium energy the Goldilocks of dogs. Not a couch potato, not a tornado. Hell zoom, hell settle, hell become a permanent attachment to your lower leg by evening.
The only thing Veggie is missing is a family. Could be yours. Hes already practicing his welcome home sprint.
Veggie is potty trained in his current setting, good on car rides, and great for his bath, grooming and blow dry! Hes a true gem. He will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family!

Veggie is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea and tick preventatives.

If interested in learning more about the adoption process for Veggie and seeing some cute videos of him, please call or text Brittany at 2037276625, thank you!
