Vegemite *visually impaired/deaf's Story
(The fine print): If after reading Vegemite's adoption listing in full, you’d like to make this wonderful puppy a part of your family, please visit www.sanctuaryrescue.com and fill out an adoption questionnaire under the “forms” tab. Unfortunately, we don't receive any inquiries sent through the Petfinder system, so the only way to be considered for adoption is to fill out the adoption questionnaire on our website. If a dog’s listing is still up on Petfinder, then we’re still accepting adoption questionnaires/applications for them. Once a dog has been adopted, we will immediately remove their adoption listing. Keep reading to learn more about Vegemite…

(The good part): Vegemite is the sweetest, most snuggly puppy. She seems to be a double Merle and as a result is visually impaired and deaf. That aside, she is otherwise healthy, playful, and smart. We would like her to go to a home with another dog to help lead the way. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and kids ages 7-13 and does well with everyone. She is adapting well to figuring out the world around her without the sense of sight or hearing; her sense of smell has been a great guide!

Foster mom says, "Vegemite is super smart. She finds food and water easily and plays well on her own and with her siblings." Vegemite is the perfect age to start learning puppy manners and cat etiquette.

Vegemite's breed estimate is a total guess. Mom looks like an Australian Shepherd and dad, well, who knows. We think calling her a magical mutt is about as accurate as we can get.

Vegemite's adoption fee is $350, which includes age-appropriate vaccinations, spay, and microchip. If you'd like to welcome this sweet pup into your family, please visit sanctuaryrescue.com and fill out an adoption questionnaire under the "forms" tab.
