Valentine-Fresno, CA's Story
Location: Fresno, CA

Meet Valentine ("Val")

Val is a beautiful 3-year-old Dalmatian weighing approximately 55 pounds who is searching for a patient, loving forever home.

When Val first arrived at the shelter, she was absolutely terrified of the world around her. Thanks to the dedication of her foster family, she's blossoming into the sweet, gentle girl she was always meant to be.

This affectionate sweetheart loves cuddling on the couch, basking in the sunshine, and spending time with her canine companions. She's learning that toys are fun, fenced yards are wonderful, and life can be pretty amazing when you're surrounded by people who care.

Val is naturally shy and timid with new people. When she's frightened, she shows no aggression at all—she simply retreats from whatever is making her uncomfortable. She is still working on building confidence with leashes, car rides, and loud noises, so she needs an adopter who understands that trust and confidence take time to develop.

Val is doing wonderfully with the other Dalmatian in her foster home and would thrive with a confident, friendly dog companion who can help guide her and show her that the world isn't such a scary place.

Because she may have some prey drive, we are recommending a home without cats.

Due to her sensitive nature, Val is looking for a quiet home with a securely fenced yard where she can feel safe and continue to grow. Apartments and busy city environments would not be a good fit for this gentle soul.

Val does prefer to eat her meals separately from other dogs, but she's perfectly happy to share treats and enjoy social time with her canine friends.

Because she is very sensitive to noise and sudden commotion, we are recommending a home without children.

Val isn't looking for perfection—she's looking for someone willing to give her patience, understanding, and unconditional love. In return, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, gentle companionship, and the joy of watching a shy dog discover just how wonderful life can be.

Could Valentine be the perfect match you've been waiting for?

Please copy & past the link below into your browser for our application:
https://www.jotform.com/form/243374218477059

Questions?
Email us at: savethedalsrescue@gmail.com

**Disclaimer: None of our dogs have been DNA tested, so we cannot guaranty they are 100% full pure breeds.**
