Vale's Story

Vale landed in a shelter-- twice. After being adopted from a shelter at 4 years old, his adoptive family returned him because they moved and couldn't take him. Of course, NCBR would have taken him as a surrender, if we had been contacted. Fortunately, this time, because we worked with that shelter recently, the shelter called us after getting Vale. We took him into our rescue.

He is six and a half years old. He is a beagle mix, weighing 44 pounds. He is neutered, has all of his shots, and has a microchip.

Vale is good with other dogs and kids. His last family said he walks well on a leash but can be a little energetic from excitement or seeing other dogs. If so, it's from excitement, not aggression. Vale likes to play. He also likes to be close to people and snuggle. His last family advised that (like some beagles) Vale may try to escape or run off on a beagle adventure, or jump over a fence, so higher and secure fences and keeping an eye on him are a must. He knows commands and can do a high-five trick.

This handsome beagle boy needs a permanent forever home and will be a great dog for some lucky person.
