Vader's Story

~DOB: 5/1/2025
Weight: 60 lbs
Energy Level: Low
Overall Drive: Low
Location: San Francisco, CA
If your dream dog is a loyal best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Vader may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Vader has a sunny personality that brightens every room he enters. His perfect day starts with spotting you from his dog bed, flashing his signature smile, joining you for a walk, and then spending the rest of the day happily following you from room to room before curling up beside you for a nap. His favorite place in the world is right next to his people, ideally with his big head resting on your hip while soaking up pets and hugs.
This sweet boy is friendly with people and does well with other dogs. He’s calm, balanced, and remarkably easygoing for a young Malinois. While many dogs of his breed are constantly looking for a job, Vader seems destined for a career in Olympic Couch Resting. He enjoys getting outside and exploring, but his greatest passion is simply spending time with his family.
Vader is house trained, crate trained, food motivated, and knows several commands including sit, place, and load up. He’s continuing to build confidence after shelter life and has been doing wonderfully on outings and around new experiences.
One of his most endearing quirks is the way he throws his front paws into the air when he’s excited to see you, looking more like a playful young horse than a dog. Between that, his proud chest-puff sit, and his endless affection, he has a way of making everyone smile.
Vader is looking for a family that wants a true companion. A dog who will happily share life’s adventures, big and small, and love you with his whole heart.
