He was extremely unhappy about wearing the cone but he has adjusted to it. He did not wag his tail for a few days due to pain but today I saw a short wag of his tail. He is starting to feel better. Vader has slept in a kennel for the last couple of days. This morning I woke up to his barking. He wanted out. He stopped barking after he knew I was up. He is doing better with going outside to do his business but he still needs more training.

10/13/26-Vader was severely matted when he arrived and had to have his fur shaved. You can now see his handsome face and his gorgeous eyes. He will be so cute when his fur grows back. Vader was very cold when he came out of his anesthesia from his neuter. The vet said that it could be due to a reaction from the anesthesia or due to being shaved. A vet should be made aware of this for any future procedure requiring anesthesia just to be on the safe side. Vader found relief from his neuter by sitting on the cool ground when he arrived home. Lol Vader will feel better once his incision heals. Vader is starting to recognize his name and wag his tail a bit more each day. His new life awaits him.

10/9/26-Vader gained a little weight. He came into the rescue at 10.6 and now weighs 11.2. Vadar enjoyed the car ride to the vets office and wandered around the vets office up until the time he was put on the exam table and then he froze. He needs a groom and I hope to take care of that before his neuter on Monday. Vader is making progress. He will go outside on his own and this morning he managed climbing the stairs to go back into the house. He leaves the resident cats and dogs alone. He still needs work on being house trained. He sleeps outside the crate. He will bark when it is past the time for his meal and he is hungry . He didn't mind being around my 6 year old granddaughter. He occasionally will wag his tail when you call his name. He has 3 more days left for his medication to clear up the ear infection in both of his ears. He will need more time before his true personality surfaces.

10/3/26-Vader received a nice bath thanks to our volunteer Jeanine before arriving at his foster home. He went outside on a leash and did his business tonight. He spent most of the rest of the evening marking his territory. He will be wearing a diaper in the house until his neuter or when his marking instincts subside. So far he is ignoring the cats and does not pay much attention to the resident dogs. More updates will be posted as his personality surfaces. Vader was too busy exploring his new surroundings with his head glued to the floor tonight so I couldn't get a good photo of his face. Lol

10/02/26-Vader is a cute 4 year old male bichon frise. He came from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need him anymore. He arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to his transport volunteers. He does have double ear infections he has medication for & being treated with for 10 days. His pre-neuter appointment is next Wednesday 10/7 & his neuter is Monday 10/12. Once we get to know him better & he is neutered he will be ready to go to his new home.
