Utica's Story
Location: Tea, SD

Are you looking for an athletic, lap-sized, snuggly, lover of life! Meet Utica! When not laying in the sun, or snuggling with her people, this girl LOVES action!

Of unknown origin, she is quick, agile, very food driven, and easily levitates her body to lick my cheek. She has boundless energy, and LOVES attention. She loves to play fetch, frisbee, and may have the potential to be a decent agility or extreme vertical contender. She NEEDS a job.

She learns quickly, and tries hard to please. She is housebroken, and can go 9 hours overnight free of accidents. She knows to ring our "go outside" bells, and sits by the door to go outside. Not a fan of the crate, but gladly goes in to take her meals. She is learning to take treats nicely, but is still a bit "sharky." At this point, a nice supply of hard chew toys is recommended, as every so often she may find alternative things to shred if they're available to her. Not a shoe shredder.

Utica would benefit from continued training in her forever home and one preferably with no small children or cats. She may enjoy the undivided attention of being an only dog. A high fence is recommended too, although she has stayed close those few times she's been off leash at our place.

---------------

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
