Please save this deserving pooch!<br/><br/>Hi, my name is Bernardo.<br/><br/>When I first came to the shelter, I wasn't alone. I had my best friend right beside me. We slept together, played together, and helped each other feel brave in this scary new place. We were a team.<br/><br/>Then one day, something wonderful happened for him. A family came and chose him.<br/><br/>I watched as they opened our kennel door. I wagged my tail, thinking maybe we were both going somewhere exciting. But only my friend left.<br/>I waited for him to come back.<br/>I waited that afternoon.<br/>I waited the next day.<br/>And then I realized, he wasn't coming back.<br/><br/>Now I sit alone in the kennel we once shared. The place feels quieter. Bigger. Lonelier. I miss having a friend to curl up with and someone to make me feel like everything is going to be okay.<br/><br/>I try to be brave, but my heart is a little sad.<br/><br/>Maybe you're looking for a friend, too. Do you have a happy young dog who would love a buddy? A playmate? A companion to share adventures, naps, and toys with? I would love that, more than anything.<br/><br/>I can't bring my best friend back, but maybe I can become someone's new best friend. Maybe yours.<br/><br/>I'm still young.
