Uptown *UPDATED BIO & PICS*'s Story

Hi, I’m Uptown 🤍🖤

I’m a 3 year old, 70 pound mixed breed boy, and I’m back at the shelter. Again.

The first time I was here, I waited 140 days. One hundred and forty days of watching other dogs walk out with families while I stayed behind. I tried not to lose hope. I tried to believe my turn would come.

Then it did.

I was adopted. I thought that was it. I thought I was finally home.

But on January 17, 2026, I came back.

Since returning, I have already spent another 41 days in this kennel. That is 181 days of my life waiting. Almost half a year of watching the door open and close without it being for me.

I don’t know what I did wrong. I don’t know why I keep starting over. I just know I’m still here.

If you’ve met me, you’ve seen it.
I am incredibly sweet.
I am playful and full of personality.
I lean into people. I stay close. I love being near my humans.

I’m the dog the staff trusts to help test other dogs because they know my temperament. I do well with other dogs. I do well with kids. I’m not difficult. I’m not dramatic. I just want to belong.

I don’t want to be someone’s temporary plan. I don’t want to be returned. I want a couch that stays mine. I want a person who stays mine.

The important stuff:
I am neutered.
I am up to date on my rabies vaccination.
There are no geographical adoption restrictions. Anyone is eligible to adopt.

I am a handsome, loyal, 70 pound boy who has waited long enough.

Why am I still here? Why does nobody choose me and mean it?

If you are looking for a dog who will give you his whole heart, who has already proven he can love deeply, please come meet me.

I am still here.
I am still waiting.
And I am still hoping my forever is real this time. 🤍
