Uncle Sam's Story

Uncle Sam (DOB 6/12/26) 3.5lb Shih Tzu mix. He’s dog and kid 10+ friendly. He’s pee pad and crate trained and will need work on housebreaking. He’s used to a secure fenced in yard so would need work on harness leash walking. He’s friendly, very playful, loves to play with toys, other dogs along with being with his people when he wants.

Uncle Sam’s foster requires a home with another young playful dog and/or children over 10yo along with leadership, consistency and structure. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Uncle Sam as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Uncle Sam has had all his DHPP vaccinations. His neuter, rabies vaccination, cherry eye repair and microchipped will be due when he is 6mo on 12/12/26. Currently in Westampton, NJ. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
