Ula's Story

Meet Ula 💛
8 yo | Neutered male | 11.2 lbs

Ula is a tiny senior boy who has known a lifetime of loyalty—and heartbreak. He was heartlessly surrendered on 12/11 after spending most of his life with a family he trusted. He even carries an old shelter ID, meaning he was once adopted as a young pup… only to be discarded years later. It’s hard to imagine how confusing and painful that must be for a dog who has done nothing wrong.

When first seen at the shelter, Ula was understandably terrified—curled tightly on his bed, trembling, trying to disappear. But when volunteers took him outside for fresh air and kindness, his true nature peeked through. He softly explored the yard, leaned into affection, and soaked up cuddles, reminding everyone that beneath the fear is a sweet soul who still wants to love and be loved.

Ula is looking for a calm, compassionate home where he can feel safe again—ideally with someone who understands seniors and is willing to help him heal both physically and emotionally. A quiet environment, gentle routine, and commitment to his medical care will mean the world to him.

Ula doesn’t deserve to end his story scared and alone.
He deserves comfort. Stability.
