*TYR's Story

Tyr (pronounced “teer”) is a stunning Husky and Australian cattle dog mix with a big personality and endless curiosity. He's full of spirit, energy, and that classic goofy husky exuberance that makes him impossible not to love. Shelter life isn't for Tyr! He's too vibrant, too curious, and too playful to be cooped up in a kennel! He thrives when he can run, explore, and chase his favorite Chuckit ball. Water is one of his favorite things in the world, whether itâ€ÂTMs splashing in a pool or soaking up the sun after a swim. He even enjoys a good sudsy head massage during bath time! Tyr is incredibly social and loves meeting new people. He greets adults with enthusiasm and happily interacts with other dogs. Heâ€ÂTMs been a dog tester for meet-and-greets and does great with well-matched dog companions. He's doesn't resource guard and can trade toys, chews, or treats with ease. Tyr is curious about small animals, so caution is recommended in homes with cats or other tiny pets, but we know with patience and training, he'd be fine. This smart boy loves exploring and staying busy. He's learned to scavenge the trash and recycling bin (oops!) BUT thrives when given a job to do. He's not super treat- or toy-motivated, but his brain craves stimulation, so he's perfect for an active home that can give him structure, enrichment, and lots of outdoor adventures. Think long hikes, ranch life, or a big yard to run around! Tyr loves water, fetch, and playful romps with dog friends. Anything to help burn off his energy. He also responds well to basic manners training and would shine with an owner who enjoys teaching smart, spirited dogs new skills. We recommend an active family with doggy friends and dog-savvy older children. In short, Tyr is curious, fun, goofy, and endlessly spirited! A loyal companion who will thrive in a home that matches his adventurous heart. Give him the space to explore, a dog friend to keep up with, and the freedom to be his goofy, playful self, and he'll give you a lifetime of laughs, love, and adventure.Appointments can be scheduled at yoloshelter.org
All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).

All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
