Typhon and Athena's Story

This sweet, social bonded pair of adults came to us when their original owner was no longer able to care for them due to circumstances unrelated to the dogs. They have been loved before, and they are loved by us now. They are ready to be loved family members again!

Typhon and Athena are bonded, and we are looking for one home for them. Athena is a small girl, and Typhon (fitting to his name) is a giant male who is currently slimming down to a healthy weight. They will always need to be fed separately so that she can eat in peace and he doesn't eat her share! (Every married couple knows what it is like when the OTHER person eats all of the good snacks, right?!)

These Pyrs were once working dogs and are safe around horses, goats, cats, and chickens. At their age, because of their friendly Pyrsonalities, and considering Athena's petite size, we think they are best matched with a hobby farm or other setting where they can interact with people as well as with critters. These two won't be happy (or stay) in a pasture without lots of human interaction.

To learn more about our Greek giant and goddess, please read our policies and fill out an application to schedule a meet-and-greet at carolinapyrrescue.com.
