Tyler's Story

Tyler
10 YO
75 Pounds
Kid & Dog Friendly
Leash Trained
Fostered in Colville, WA

Hi, I'm Tyler! I am a sweet, affectionate boy who is deeply devoted to my people. I know that I am a dog, but I define myself as a true "love bug". I thrive on closeness and enjoy being near my person at all times. I am generally calm and enjoy lounging, but once or twice a day, the Boxer in me comes out and I have playful bursts of energy, happily running and playing.

I have been through a lot but despite that, I continue to show resilience and a gentle nature. I prefer my people to be home most of the time; this helps me feel safe and confident. When I have to be alone, I prefer not to go in a crate, I am not comfortable in them, I will wait for you to return uneventfully as long as I have my emotional support sock monkey to keep me company.

I have done well with other dogs, but I don't want them around my food and toys. I may be able to coexist with another dog but would need a strong and experienced leader to manage structure and supervision. I have been working on my leash manners and am getting very good. With a calm and patient home that is willing to continue my progress, I will be the most loyal and loving companion that offers affection and strong companionship. Northwest Boxer Rescue's Adoption Policy
We'd like to tell you about our Adoption Process. First, all of us at Northwest Boxer Rescue are volunteers and no one is paid. We do the best that we can to respond as timely as possible, but we also have dogs, children, spouses, jobs, families, and homes - just like you. So, please be patient with us. Completing an application is the first step in adopting a boxer from NWBR. We try to respond to the request as soon as possible and contact you by phone once we have received the application. Tell us what dog you are interested in on the application. We are glad to answer any questions you have. We want to get to know you and make sure the dog you adopt is the right wiggle butt, not just a dog. It is not only important that you will be happy with your new family member but that your new family member has found their perfect forever home. Many of our dogs come from rough backgrounds and deserve great homes. We spend a lot of time with these guys and try very hard to get to know them as we
