Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. <br/><br/>Tyler is spending time in a foster home for a break from the shelter. His foster says he has a lot of energy when he knows he's going for a walk. He can be somewhat of a puller; we would recommend a Weiss Walkie (sold in the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe). He loves being outside and hanging out by the patio door when he's not outside. His foster says can be a little hesitant when he meets men, but he eventually warms up. <br/><br/>Tyler also recently walked in the Granite City Days Parade and did great with other dogs of all sizes and small children. <br/><br/>*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.<br/><br/>**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. MBAH Kennel License MN140200<br/><br/>* Adoption Ambassador (AA) animals are available for adoption but reside in a TCHS foster home instead of in the shelter. Meet-and-greets are scheduled in a first-come, first-served manner. Adoption holds are NOT accepted on AA animals unless the potential adopter has already met the animal. If you are interested in meeting this AA pet, meet-and-greets may be scheduled by calling 320-252-0896.
