Tyler's Story

Hi, my name is Tyler and I'm a very beautiful and sweet pup looking for my great forever family. I'm 10 months old and weigh 36 pounds so I'll probably be 45 pounds when I'm fully grown. I have a beautiful coat and the cutest ears you've ever seen. Everyone I meet loves me and I love them right back. I play great with other dogs and have fun puppy energy but I also know how to relax and take good snoozes too. I love going for car rides and my Foster Mom is teaching me to walk nicely on a leash. I'm praying a wonderful family adopts me and will love me forever and give me lots of fun toys and a backyard to play in. I'm healthy and up to date on all my vaccinations. Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue to find out more info about me and come get me!!

Long Road Home's Adoption Policy
Where do we get our dogs? Majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters. Some are owner surrender or strays. All of the dogs that come into our rescue have been in high emergency situations where they would not be wagging their tails. We work with a lot of shelters in the south as well as on long island. We have wonderful people who dedicate their time to the dogs and transport them into our long island foster homes.   What happens to the dog after we accept it into the program? All of the dogs first go to see a vet. Once they receive a clean bill of health the go into a home. We normally give each dog at least a week in a home with qualified trainer before we place the dog into a foster. We really like to have the dogs house broken and to have at least started basic obedience training. After the trainer we place the dog into its new foster home until it finds its forever home.
