Twitch

Twitch is a four-year-old beagle looking for his forever home. He is crate-trained and working on house training. He is good with cats, other dogs and with kids. Twitch is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to become part of your family.<br/><br/>Introducing sweet and handsome Twitch!! This moderately active beagle boy likes walks, stuffie dog toys and hard chewies. He does well and likes riding in the car, meeting new people, small children and playing with other dogs. He is crate trained and spends time in his crate when left alone in the home - keeping the crate clean and dry. While he does bark, Twitch is not all that vocal. He absolutely loves a good cuddle session and follows his humans all around his foster home. <br/><br/>Twitch is not food aggressive but because there are other dogs in his foster home, he takes his meals in his crate where he can take his time eating. He is doing well with his house training but this skill will need to be completed by his forever home. Although he been on a couple of walks on lead and completed these well, this is an additional skill his family will need to complete. He has shown some interest in chewing inappropriate objects. Small objects, TV Remotes and important papers and books will need to be kept out of reach. <br/><br/>So what makes Twitch happy? He is a moderately active beagle boy who plays well and then settles nicely. He loves running and playing in the fenced in yard with one of the dogs in his foster home. A nice chew on a Nyla bone, game of Catch Me or Chase Me, Kongs and tossing around a soft squeak toy are hits on his fun list. What he enjoys most is to be near his human companions and cuddling on the sofa while you read and watch TV. <br/><br/>We are looking a family with a nice fenced in yard that will allow Twitch to roam and explore. We believe he will do better in a home with another dog and children are a bonus. Where does Happy Paws Rescue come into the picture? On a regular basis, research facilities have beagles that they release to us. It gives us and you a chance to give back to these sweet dogs that have contributed to the advancement of science. Fill out an application found at www.happypawsrescue.org under the *ADOPT* tab.<br/>2. Please allow 5-7 business days for us to review and respond to your application.<br/>3. Approved applicants will be invited to come meet me at a scheduled meet and greet or adoption event.<br/>4. If both you and the rescue agree that the dog you meet is a good fit for your home, you will fill out an adoption contract and exchange a small adoption fee. Your dog can go home the day of the Meet & Greet.<br/>5. We generally adopt to families within a 90 mile radius of our home base in Piscataway, NJ but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available.
