Twinkle's Story
Twinkle’s story is as heartbreaking as it is inspiring. She came to us after someone claimed to have “found” her wrapped in a soiled diaper. But after a little digging, we discovered the truth—it was actually her owner who had abandoned her under false pretenses. Even more devastating, she had posted online about Twinkle’s injury but waited too long to get her proper care. By the time she came into our care, it was too late for surgery.

Despite that neglect, Twinkle has held onto her spirit. She has hind leg paresis, meaning she has partial mobility—not full paralysis. And while surgery was no longer an option, she’s made incredible strides through supplements and alternative therapies like acupuncture, electromagnetic treatment, massage, and physical therapy. She’s showing steady, meaningful progress.

She does need her bladder and bowels expressed 3–4 times a day, but she’s a total champ about it—cooperative, patient, and even helps by posturing. The process takes just a couple of minutes.

? More about Twinkle:
• Resilient, loving, and full of personality
• Great eater and enjoys all the things mobile dogs do
• Gets along well with other respectful animals
• Best with older, calm kids (10+)
• No other health concerns

Twinkle is about 5-6 years old, She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases.

Twinkle needs a special adopter—someone experienced or willing to learn about special needs care, with the time and dedication to help her thrive. She’s been let down before, but she hasn’t let it define her. She’s ready to love and be loved in a home that truly sees her.

If you’re that kind of person, Twinkle is ready to be your shining light.
