Turbo Biscuit's Story

Hi, my name is Turbo Biscuit! I'm a RED pawprint, which means I need an experienced home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: enthusiastic, energetic, affectionate
-Can Live with Kids: Recommending STURDY dog-savvy kids 8+ ( age up to counselor discretion)
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown History - Likely okay with confident dog-savvy cats with SLOW AND SUPERVISED INTRODUCTIONS AND INTERACTIONS.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, all introductions done at WHS.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended, but may be considered with a solid mental and physical exercise plan.
-Potty Trained: Working on it!
-Bite History: Nope.
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, 1-3 depending on adopter experience.
-Energy Level: HIGH!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a neuter and microchip provided by WHS.
Meet Turbo Biscuit, your future shadow, adventure buddy, and full-time cuddle enthusiast all rolled into one wiggly, enthusiastic package.
He came to us as a stray, and while adjusting to shelter life he picked up a case of kennel cough. He’s on the mend now and feeling much better, which means all that pent-up puppy energy is ready to go somewhere! He’s lively, affectionate, and always “on,” just waiting for someone to help him channel that excitement into something positive. Personal space? Never heard of it. This guy is a full-time companion who wants to be involved in everything you do. Whether you’re heading out for an adventure or just trying to relax at home, he’s right there with you, ready to be part of it. He’s incredibly people-oriented and thrives on attention, but he’ll need help learning boundaries and appropriate ways to express all that enthusiasm.

At just 8 months old, he’s still very much a puppy and will need a family that’s ready for a lifelong commitment. He’ll do best in a home that can offer consistency, structure, and routine, along with a strong, ongoing training plan to help him grow into his best self. He’ll also need regular exercise, mental stimulation, proper grooming, veterinary care, and good nutrition to keep him healthy and happy. This sweet, energetic boy has so much potential to become an amazing companion. With time, patience, and guidance, he’s going to shine. If you’re ready for a loyal, affectionate dog who will stick by your side through everything and make sure you’re never alone he might just be the perfect fit for you.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
