Tupelo (Reduced Rover)'s Story
Meet Tupelo: Your Own Hunk of Burning Love!

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to Tupelo, a Southern gentleman with a heart as big as the Mississippi and a soul as sweet as a deep-fried beignet. Born and raised in Louisiana, this dashing 3-year-old, 45-pound Jack Russell Terrier and Pittie mix is pure devotion, looking for a forever home where he can shake, rattle, and roll right into your heart.

Like his namesake town (Tupelo, Mississippi-shoutout to Elvis fans!), this boy is full of charm, a little bit of rhythm, and a whole lotta blues when he's not getting enough belly rubs. His perfect day includes sleeping in, casual zoomies, playing a mean game of fetch with his favorite stuffed toys, and then collapsing at your feet like a true Southern romantic.

Tupelo is neutered and house-trained. He's a well-mannered guy-great at commands like "sit" and "lay down," and he takes treats like a proper gentleman. He may be a little shy at first (a true Southern belle would call it "reserved"), but once he knows you're his person, he's stuck to you like gravy on biscuits.

He'd love a home with at least one other dog (because he thrives in a pack) and a yard where he can practice his legendary zoomies. He's still working on his leash skills and prefers quiet neighborhoods-loud city noises and leaf blowers are not his jam. Older kids would be best for his calm and loving personality.

So, are you ready to welcome your very own Tupelo Honey? Because this sweet, soulful boy is ready to be all shook up over you. Come meet him today-he can't help falling in love!

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2025 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $400
Dogs over 12 months - $300

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!

For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

*Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
